Condor DC Power Supplies, a manufacturer of commercial and medical power supplies, is converting all models in its linear power supply line to bring the units into full compliance with the RoHS directive. These models are in widespread use, powering medical and commercial OEM systems.

Condor’s “International Plus” Series linear supplies are available in 115 models encompassing worldwide ac input ranges and safety standards, seven power levels that range from 3 W to 288 W, and regulated outputs that produce very low noise. They are distinguished by rugged design and construction, and are available in single and multiple output configurations.

Commercial models include industry-standard packages. They are approved to UL 60950-1, CSA 60950-1-03 (L3M1), EN60950-1, and IEC 60950-1 standards (refer to safety agency certificates for actual approvals). These linear supplies feature burn-in with cycling and a 3-year warranty. Their capacitors have the industry’s highest CV and ripple current ratings.

Medical models are approved to UL60601-1, EN 60601-1, and CSA 601.1-M90 (L3M1) (refer to safety agency certificates for actual approvals). Medical leakage current does not exceed 10 µA. Most units feature mean-time-between-failures of 200,000+ hours per Mil Handbook 217D. All electrolytic caps are rated at 105°C. Transformer insulation meets Class F (155°C). Condor’s medical linears exceed FCC and CISPR22, Class B conducted emissions. The units also are CE marked to LVD 72/23/EEC.
