Saft has been awarded a major multiyear contract by the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency to supply the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps with a family of Lithium-sulfur-dioxide (Li-SO2) batteries
Saft has been awarded a major multi-year contract by the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to supply the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps with a family of Lithium-sulfur-dioxide (Li-SO2) batteries. The terms of the contract include six Li-SO2 batteries for several portable military applications such as communication, GPS and rescue systems.
This contract was awarded to Saft for 100% of the U.S. military needs for this type of battery. The contract with DLA is an indefinite quantity contract with a two-year base period for an amount of up to $10 million and three one-year option periods for a total amount of up to $26.6 million.
