2.6 million LEDs can't be wrong

Approximately 2.6 million LEDs replaced high-voltage, high-maintenance neon in signs for AT&T.

A switch to the energy-efficient,GE Tetra LED lighting systems is expected to help AT&T save more than 5.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity a year and eliminate 3,500 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually. The LEDs are going into AT&T signage on buildings. Also, because LEDs are up to 80% more energy efficient than commonly used neon, the new lighting system will also provide AT&T with financial savings.
