The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) today awarded 29 technology firms—including EDS and AT&T—a technology services contract worth about $50 billion.
Under the "Alliant" contract—a pre-qualified contract that allows fast access to critical services—companies will provide IT services including computer design, software engineering and systems integration.
The government-wide contract does not guarantee work for any of the winning companies, which will have to bid on service orders.
