Intel's latest Core2 processors, code named Penryn and manufactured on Intel's 45-nm process, are now in the labs at Chipworks ready to undergo thorough structural analysis and transistor characterization. The processors are the first devices brought to market via Intel’s manufacturing strategy announced in 2006, that of introducing micro architectures and manufacturing technologies on a regular two-year basis. Penryn processors are not commercially available yet, however interested parties can place orders now for the structural analysis report (SAR-0708-802) and transistor characterization report (TCR-0708-801) with Chipworks.
