London, UK: NEC Europe has appointed Naoki Iizuka as president and CEO, heading the company’s operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Russia/CIS (EMEA region). Iizuka will provide strategic direction to the business, which provides IT network technology solutions for telecom-operator, public, and enterprise customers.
Iizuka has over 30 years of experience in the IT and telecoms industry, which includes stops at Oracle Corp., Alcatel Lucent and others. He has also worked for NEC Corp. and NEC UK in London, where he will return in his new role.
Iizuka succeeds Nobuyuki Yanaginuma, who will return to Japan and assume his new position as associate senior vice president and executive general manager of NEC Corp.’s Global Carrier Solutions Operations Unit.
