Just released as a free online tool, the MOTORTEC STPe v1.5 is a handy speed, torque, and power calculator that now lets engineers and product designers calculate operating costs based on electrical consumption. The STP update lets users enter hours, days, and weeks to estimate annual usage hours, provides a link to the Energy Information Administration to find out electrical rates across the U.S., and calculates energy costs at multiple efficiencies.
