Forty-six new models of the 562 Series of hollow shaft offset gearmotors were recently added to the growing FlexTorq line. With a slightly larger footprint than a conventional right angle worm reducer gearmotor, the FlexTorq units provide from two to nine times more output torque, depending on the gear ratio utilized. The gearmotor design also does away with the need for wormgear reducers, which tend to be inefficient.

The 562 Series is offered in seven 115 V, single-phase, 1/20 hp versions and 39 dc versions with 12, 24, 90, and 130 V inputs and powers of 1/8 and 1/20 hp. Continuous output torques range from 66 to 1,100 in.-lb, with corresponding fixed output speeds from 65 to 1.3 rpm. An offset parallel shaft configuration fits into tight spaces and offers high torque density. For more information, visit Bison Gear & Engineering Corp.
