Fuji Electric Corp. of America (FECOA) announces the production release of the FH2000U1, a 12-V, 2,000-W, front-end server power supply. This model has been certified 80 PLUS Gold by the Climate Savers Computing Initiative (CSCI). The FH2000U1 is the latest in a series of Fuji Electric standard footprint, 4 x 1.6 x 14 in. front-end server power supplies targeted at the 80 PLUS Gold and 80 Plus Platinum CSCI standards. The FH2000U1 exceeds the 80 Plus Gold standards with 92.9% efficiency at 50% load.

Fuji Electric is the first Japanese power supply manufacturer to obtain 80 PLUS Gold certification on a standard front-end power supply. The company achieved its high efficiency goals for this product by using its own innovative circuit technology and high efficiency components, such as silicon carbide diodes (SiC), and low on-state resistance elements. Fuji Electric engineers modified packaging and cooling technologies to improve the power density by 2.6 times over that of previous models.
