Plastic Connector's Higher Pin Count Lends It To Medical Applications

The challenges of applications in the medical industry, such as catheters, handpieces and medical instrumentation, are satisfied with a new larger-size Redel plastic connector featuring a higher pin count. The new 18-mm-diameter plastic unit accommodates cables diameters of 5, 7, and 9 mm and allows up to 19 crimp contacts and as many as 26 solder contacts. The space-saving connectors also feature a three-key design for secure alignment and are guaranteed for up to 1000 mating cycles.
