PCB Terminal Blocks Prevent Incorrect Cable Entry

Feb. 1, 2001

The new 3300 and 3400 series plug-in rising clamp terminals contain 3.5 mm and 3.81 mm pitch, respectively. The new series connectors are available in solid blocks from two to 24 poles with horizontal female plug style and closed headers. The polarized moldings are fabricated from green UL94-V0 flame retardant PA66 material and feature professional rising clamp terminals to prevent incorrect cable entry and protect wires from damage. Both series offer anti-solder wicking and guided-pin alignment. Mechanical characteristics include 0.75 mm2 cable entry, 5µ tinned phospher bronze pin/terminal, 5µ nickel copper flash brass rising clamp and M2 steel, 6µ zinc, color passivated and tropicalised 0.5 Nm, captive screws. Specifications include an 8A/300V rating and a working temperature range from -20°C to 125°C (160°C for short periods).
