Nov. 1, 2000

A new line of audio jacks features surface mount technology. The jacks are designed to interface reliably with audio equipment such as computer speakers, headphones, cell phones, and sound cards. Jacks are available to accept 2.5 and 3.5 mm plugs for either mono or stereo applications.
These low-profile jacks are manufactured using a UL rated 94V-0 polyamide housing, .012 brass gold plated ground terminals, .008 phosphor bronze gold plated spring contacts, and .012 brass gold plated shunt terminals.
The 2.5 mm jacks are supplied on 22 mm wide tape with a 16 mm pitch, while the 3.5 mm plugs are supplied on a 27 mm wide tape with a 16 mm pitch. Both sizes are supplied on 14.5" reels with 1,000 pieces per reel.
