Wires Meet Thermocouple Needs

Nov. 1, 1999

A complete line of thermocouple and extension grade wires match a variety of applications and come from stock pre-spooled in sizes of 25, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 feet. All of the wires are clearly identified with traditional ANSI standard color coding. Different insulations meet a host of temperature ranges and environmental conditions. For example, the PFA-coated Teflon insulated wire has a temperature range of from-267°C to 260°C and affords superior resistance to abrasion and moisture. The highest temperature rated ceramic insulated wire has a range from -17°C to 1204°C. The thermocouples are available with solid or stranded wire in a variety of gages. Twisted, shielded wire is supplied with an integral drain wire, which provides additional protection from outside electrical noise.
