Micro Mini Radial Multi-Position Switch Performs Up To 18 GHz

May 1, 2001

The P/N567-5308 micro miniature radial multi-position (SP3T to SP6T) switch can perform up to 18 GHz with dc characteristics spanning a 24 to 32 Vdc voltage range. The switch is equipped with an actuator, providing a normally-open mode of operation. Switching time is 15 ms. This extremely small switch provides a basic building block for the manufacture of VXI and PXI microwave switch modules. Up to 7 switches can be housed in a single C size VXIbus card slot. Due to its small size, the cards can be designed with front panel plug-in switches. This plug-in concept allows the user to replace a switch without service interruption in other segments of the card.
