Fiber-Optic Jack Meets New Standards

Based on the Panduit OPTI-JACK Fiber Optic Connector, FOCIS-6 (Fiber Optic Connector Intermateability Standard) is said to be the first standard completed by the TIA for small form factor fiber connectors. The OPTI-JACK Fiber Optic Connector is fully compatible with the draft TIA-568B standards for singlemode and multimode optical fiber. The RJ-45 style fiber connector maintains the 2.5 mm ferrule widely deployed through ST and SC style fiber connectors.
