Fieldbus I/O System Reduces Installation Headaches

March 1, 2002

Requiring no special tools or training to install, the EASi/oN modular fieldbus I/O system combines plug-in bridging blocks, power feed, fieldbus connection, cables for peripherals, and integrated modules catches in a DIN-rail mounting unit. Being modular in design, complete I/O systems can be removed from the circuit without the removal of other fieldbus subscribers. The system works with common field buses, such as DeviceNet, Profibus and CAN, and employs standard M12 plug connections for peripherals. Packaged in a rugged case, the EASi/oN design is said to offer flexibility in the selection of power supplies so that sensors and actuator power supplies can be cabled together. Single-unit pricing begins at $522, with delivery from stock. For further information, contact HIRSCHMANN ELECTRONICS, Pine Brook, NJ. (973) 830-2000.
