Telephone Line Interface Has New Features

Providing a complete telephone line interface with caller ID and another off-hook (911) sensing, CYG2911 and CYG2300 (German PTT) modules are designed as drop-in solutions for data access arrangement (DAA) solutions. Applications include set-top boxes, bank terminals, plant monitoring equipment, home medical devices, security/alarm systems, utility meters, voicemail systems, vending machines, digital telephone answering machines, and general modem (V.32/V.34) . Both units offer complete PSTN (public switched telephone network) interface circuits including ring detection, hookswitch function, gyrator/transformer function, surge protection and transient protection. Dimensions are 1.07- x 1.07- x 0.4-in. in plastic module.
