Lanyard Connectors Qualify For Use In Smart Weapons

The D38999 Series III Lanyard Connectors have qualified for use under the military's Smart weapons requirements. Designed and manufactured in accordance with D38999/29/30/31, the connectors are in use on the B-1 Bomber Conventional Mission Upgrade Program, the Sea Launch Program, and others. The Series III Lanyard Connectors are intended for use in mechanical release applications (MIL-STD-1760), including umbilical release and staging. They are said to provide excellent resistance to vibration, corrosion, immersion and EMI leakage. Lanyards come with 17 to 25 circuits and are field replaceable.
