DACs Offer Enhanced Dynamic Performance

Dec. 1, 2001

Claiming exceptional dynamic performance for wireless communications, the DAC290x family of 125 Msamples/s, dual d/a converters provide 10-, 12-, and 14-bit resolutions in pin-compatible packages. The devices operate over a wide supply range, single 3.3V and/or 5V, and a power dissipation of 310 mW. Designed for use in the transmit section of communications systems, the family consists of the 14-bit DAC2904, 12-bit DAC2902, and 10-bit DAC2900. The DAC2904 and DAC2902 offer 81dB spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) at a 5 MHz output frequency and a 52 Msamples/s update rate. The DAC2900 offers 80dB SFDR at a 5 MHz output frequency and 52 Msamples/s update rate. Available in a TQFP-48, prices are: DAC2904 ($19.95), DAC2902 ($15.25), and DAC2900 ($9.10) each 1,000.
