The dual-band HBT power amplifiers are claimed to be ideal for use in GSM/DCS wireless handsets. The power amps are manufactured using what is claimed as the first 6'' analog GaAs fabrication. InGaP HBT power amps enable handsets to achieve longer battery life and better signal characteristics via sound power management. Samples of the power amps are currently available.
