PLL Clock Drivers Target High-Speed Clocking Apps

June 1, 2001

Operating at speeds up to 175 MHz, the FMS7950 and FMS7951 are a pair of low-voltage PLL clock drivers designed for use in high-speed memory clocking applications. The devices are suited for high clock fanout and where matching requirements for skew and jitter are critical.
Applications include registered DIMM memory modules and wherever common clock timing is critical in system clock distribution. Pricing for the devices is $4.50 each in a 32-lead LQFP package. The parts are direct replacements for Motorola's MPC950 and MPC951.
