Laser Sensor Makes Precise Measurements Of Reflective Material

Sept. 1, 1998

With resolution as fine as 5 nanometers and frequency response rate of up to 300 kHz, Laser Nano Sensor is said to be ideal for quantifying surface roughness of highly reflective materials, such as glass, silicon wafers, and lenses. It has a measuring range from 0.000035" to 0.00118", depending upon model, measures 2.5" long x 0.8" diameter, and weighing 3.6 oz. The sensor operates at temperatures from 32° to 120° F and comes with a cable 8.25 feet long. Power required is ±15 vdc.
