Video Monitoring Reference Design Taps High-Performance Signal Processing

Nov. 1, 2001

Targeting the emerging remote video monitoring market, a new video monitoring transceiver reference design uses the companyÕs high-performance signal processing technology to remotely control up to four digital cameras over analog POTS lines. The new RSV-2000 reference design enables pan, tilt and zoom adjustments for up to four digital cameras to be controlled by a remote user to change the viewing angle. The fully-engineered transceiver reference design sequences the outputs of all four cameras onto a single monitor to facilitate viewing, and enables OEMs to add the capability (with separate host system) to record the video and the accompanying audio on VCR or hard disk. Aimed at safety, security, monitoring, fire protection and telemedicine OEMs, the design initiates video capture when any external trigger input threshold is exceeded.
