Designed for use with Icepak thermal modeling software, the Pro/Engineer Icepak Interface version 2.0 is claimed to build on the company's successful integration of CAD software with thermal modeling. Specific enhancements include greater flexibility and object handling to eliminate repetitive functions and greater flexibility in working with shapes such as prisms and inclined plates.
The new interface eases the importing and exporting of files between programs, which required time-consuming alterations and cleanup in the Icepak application. The interface enables users to prepare a file before importation to Icepak, saving time and ensuring better results. It is currently available to Icepak users on UNIX and Windows NT platforms for an annual license fee of $2,000.
