Single Outlet Receptacles Now Available In Straight Or Right-Angle Formats

The "S" Series of single-outlet receptacles are designed for supplementary wiring applications and are offered in a choice of three styles: straight and right-angle 15A models and 20A straight thru-feed models. They feature quick disconnect IDC terminals and snap-on covers for contact protection. The snap-in type receptacle bodies are molded of type 66 Nylon and comply with UL Flame Rating 94V-2. The 15A models are rated at 125 Vac, meet UL 489 Supplement SA requirements, and are suitable for use with 14 or 12 AWG THTN/THWN solid wire. The 20A straight, thru-feed outlet is also rated at 125 Vac, meets the requirements of Supplement SA of UL489, and is suitable for use with 12AWG solid wire. Dielectric strength between adjacent poles is 2000V. These NEMA type 5-15 or 5-20 receptacles meet UL498, the Canadian National Standard (C22.2 No.182.3-M1987). In addition they comply with Supplement SA of UL 498 for feed-thru applications, making them suitable for branch circuit applications. All S Series receptacles also comply with the Grounding Contact Test of UL 498.
