Boasting of the highest signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio compared to similar devices, the ADS5203 and ADS5204 dual, 10-bit, a/d converters provide a 60 dB SNR and deliver up to 40 Msamples/s. Both have a 73dB spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) and operate on a single 3.3V supply with a power consumption of 240 mW (ADS5203) and 275 mW (ADS5204). The ADS5204 includes a 0 dB to 18 dB programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with a serial control interface. Both devices provide options such as a single- or dual-parallel output bus, single-ended or differential analog inputs, internal or external reference, and a power down mode. Available in a TQFP-48, the ADS5203 and ADS5204 are priced at $9.19 and $10.49, respectively, each/1,000. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Santa Clarita, CA. (800) 477-8924, ext 4500.
