Accurate Li-Ion Battery Charger Chip Debuts

Claiming to be the industry's highest precision Li-Ion battery charger IC, the MIC79050 is designed to ensure that each cell is charged to its fullest capacity, thereby providing the longest operating time possible. Accuracy is stated as being ±0.75% over the Li-Ion battery temperature range. The device is pre-programmed to 4.2V and comes in a SOT-223 package. Pricing is $2 each/1,000 with delivery from stock to eight weeks ARO.
