DDCS Hybrid Seeks To Energize Communication Systems

Nov. 1, 2000

Based on its 32-bit resolution and a 1 GHz update rate, the STEL-2375A direct digital chirp synthesizer (DDCS) is said to deliver the highest performance of any digital synthesizer available. This DDCS hybrid device uses digital techniques to synthesize high fidelity, long duration chirp waveforms, also known as Linear FM, or swept frequency.
Other features include a 1-GHz maximum clock frequency, an output frequency from 0 to 400 MHz, and an output power of -6 ±2 dBm. The DDCS hybrid is suited for use in a variety of communication systems. Test fixtures are available for evaluating the device.
