Industrial Tachometers Are Handheld And Easy To Use

Aug. 1, 1999

A pair of handheld, digital tachometers, the PDT-1000 non-contact unit and PDT-2000 non-contact/contact type, are said to combine high quality and ease of use at an affordable price. When used in the non-contact mode, these instruments use a visible beam of light to measure an object's rotational speed from up to 14" away. When used in the contact mode, the PDT-2000 measures speed using one of its supplied adapters. In addition, it can measure linear surface speeds, total continuously-running materials, and check the calibration of counters and totalizers. The instruments come with all accessories and are suited for maintenance personnel, machine operators, and more.
