Simulation App Enhances Importing And Manipulation Capabilities

Sept. 1, 2000

The Altia Design 4.5 simulation graphics software, a package that allows users to to create custom, virtual prototypes, claims to now offer significantly faster importing and refreshing of 24-bit images. The lengthy color conversion is sped up by the software's ability to support images that use millions of colors.
A new proprietary algorithm is said to quickly estimate and create additional pixels for scaled, high-resolution bitmaps. This ensures that the image maintains its clarity, regardless of scaling or animation, and without the need for an extremely powerful computer.
Other new features include a configurable tick mark component that lets users adjust the size, shape. frequency and spacing of tick marks on various dials and gauges within the application. The complete system is priced at $6,900 for a single license with discounts for multi-license purchases.
