Meter Measures Static Decay

Feb. 1, 1999

Designed to determine the electrostatic dissipation performance of materials, Model 406D static decay meter performs analysis per FTM Standard 101C, Method 4046 and meets static decay requirements of MIL-B-81705, EIA-541 and NFPA 99. The self-contained unit consists of the control unit and the Faraday test cage. Its design lets the test cage be placed within a humidity control chamber to allow material testing under controlled environmental conditions. The meter offers automatic and manual test modes and selectable cutoff levels of 50%, 10% and 1% with a 0.01-second decay time resolution.
