Rack-Mount Units Offer Power Management In Single Package

May 1, 1999

A series of 19" rack-mounted Power Distribution Units (PDU) incorporate multiple power conditioning functions in a single package, including the integration of circuit breaker protection, transient protection, EMI filtering, output power distribution and custom system options. These PDUs are available with remote on/off control and power-factor correction/harmonic suppression. The units are designed for use with three-wire grounded neutral power sources. Custom designs are also available to meet specific requirements. Filter performance specs for single-phase systems include 120 or 250 vac rated voltage for 25A or less and 30A or less, respectively, 50/60 Hz operating frequency and -10°C to 60°C operating temperature. All units feature a standard shell material of 18-gauge steel. Applications include telecom, general industrial, commercial, medical, military, data transmission and secure line.
