Two new versions of NSpice are now available from Apache Design Solutions. NSpice-PI (for power integrity) simulates extracted power-ground mesh circuits and other circuits containing a large number of linear elements. NSpice-UBS (ultrawide broadband simulation) simulates very high-speed circuits. These may need to be simulated over relatively long time spans to capture lower-frequency effects, such as ripple or modulation. NSpice-PI costs $60,000 for a one-year time-based license, while NSpice-UBS goes for $35,000. Surf to www.apache-da.com for details.
