Spring-Probe Technology Tightens Connections In Tough Applications

May 1, 2001

The AMP line of spring-probe connectors offer a redundant internal current path said to provide optimal electrical performance when exposed to vibration, motion and mechanical shock. The connectors are custom designed for specific applications and can incorporate several contact styles, including low profile and high-density configurations. They are available in through-hole and surface-mounted designs and have a wide mating tolerance range. Contacts may be rated as high as 2A depending on connector configuration with life cycles up to 50,000. Additional custom features such as hold-downs and other design enhancements are also available.
