Brushless DC Fan Boasts Of Long Life

Oct. 1, 2002

Promising lower maintenance requirements and reduced down time, the MDE series brushless dc, axial flow fans boast of a 100,000-hour life expectancy and a zero-rotation alarm. Two models in the series, the MDE1225 and MDE1451, measure 4.69" square with a 1" axial length and 5.51" square with a 2.01" axial length, respectively. Two models of the MDE1225 series offer 12 Vdc and 24 Vdc inputs. Both provide a maximum airflow of 95.3 cfm with a maximum static pressure of 0.281" of H2O and a maximum audible noise figure of 46 dBa. Four models of the MDE1451 series include 24 Vdc and 48 Vdc units that deliver a maximum airflow of 205 cfm, maximum static pressure of 0.521" of H2O, and a maximum noise level of 49 dBa. A pulse-sensor option for the MDE1451 allows users to monitor fan speed with a digital counter. ORIENTAL MOTOR USA CORP, Torrance, CA. (800) 406-7484, ext 835.
