Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator Combo Touts Excellent Modulation Capabilities

Dec. 1, 2000

Said to provide extensive functionality, outstanding resolution, broad bandwidth and excellent modulation capabilities, the Model 3305A single-channel function/arbitrary waveform generator supports five standard waveforms: sine, square, triangle, ramp and noise, as well as arbitrary waveforms. And all functions, except noise, can be swept over their full frequency range—both linearly and logarithmically.
This 31.00000000000000 MHz, 0.01 µHz resolution synthesizer is said to meet the most stringent standard and arbitrary waveform requirements. And it offers five operating modes: continuous, triggered, burst, modulation, and external amplitude modulation. For ease of operation, all front panel key are conveniently clustered. The 3305A stores arbitrary waveforms up to 16k points long, with 12 bits of vertical resolution and provides sample rates up to 40 MSPS. Windows-based software is available for creation and editing of arbitrary waveforms. And the system can be remotely programmed via an RS-232C port, with IEEE488.2 (GPIB) optional The Model 3305A portable instrument carries the CE mark, is priced at $1,495 and is deliverable in 4-6 weeks.
