Toolkit Gets Windows CE Tasks Moving

A package of tools, drivers, libraries and support gives engineers a streamlined system for demonstrating, benchmarking and developing applications for Windows CE on Pentium-based embedded systems. Quick Start 2.0 includes the company's Real-Time Extension (RTX) 4.2 for Windows CE; rapid prototyping tools; RTX sample configurations for Windows CE that can be used in stand-alone mode for demonstrations or for host-target development; and a 90-day support program that offers expert assistance for mission-critical, deadline-driven projects. The package includes a pre-built Windows CE-based kernel; facilities for booting and target preparation; floating-point, MMX and real-time benchmarks; video, disk, network interface card and PCMCIA drivers; and more.
