Test Sockets Accept Flat Ceramic, Plastic Packages

Aug. 1, 1999

Series 536 PLCC ZIF Test Socket for test and burn-in accepts flat-pack ceramic and plastic packages. The zero-insertion-force (ZIF) operation makes excellent contact with device pins, while no damage is done to packages because no force is required during insertion or extraction. With a latched clamshell design featuring male solder-tail pins projecting from the bottom for soldering into PCB or plugging into and adapter socket, standard pin counts are 20, 28, 32, 44, 52, 68 or 84.
