In the latest release of its Genesys RF/microwave design suite, Agilent Technologies included new statistical and electromagnetic analyses that provide first-pass accuracy. This advance will result in shorter physical design cycles and faster time-to-market.

The new Genesys version 2007.08 features realistic statistical component variations, histograms, and yield optimization. These statistical analysis features, together with Agilent’s Momentum GX planar-3D EM simulator, enable highly accurate physical design.

Among the suite’s statistical features are statistical distribution functions that can apply to any variable or component parameter. Users are able to create histogram plots for use with circuit, RF system, and EM simulation types. There also are 17 new statistics-oriented equations and measurements.

Current Genesys software suites include four bundles priced at under $10,000. Configurations for high-yield linear design start at $3995. The Genesys/Momentum GX bundle goes for approximately $15,000.
