12-Bit DACs Improve On Earlier Versions

Aug. 1, 1998

The LTC1595 and LTC1596 serial input, 16-bit multiplying current output digital-to-analog converters (DACs) feature ±1 LSB maximum INL and DNL over the DACs' industrial temperature range. And an internal deglitching circuit help the devices achieve a low glitch impulse of 1 nV/s (typ.). The LTC1595 is pin compatible with the 12-bit DAC8043 and comes in an 8-pin PDIP or SO package. The LTC1596 is pin-compatible with the DAC8143 or AD7543 and comes in a 16-pin PDIP or SO wide package.
