The signing of a North American distribution agreement between Richardson Electronics Ltd.'s Solid State and Components Group, La Fox, IL, an RF and microwave specialty components distributor, and Saronix, Menlo Park, CA., a leading supplier of frequency control products, will allow Richardson to offer Saronix's broad line of quartz crystals, clock oscillators, VCXOs, and TCXOs in metal, plastic and ceramic packages to an established customer base in the computer, networking, telecommunications and wireless systems markets. Saronix's patented TmT high-frequency fundamental crystals are said to provide a competitive advantage in the company's unique, high-frequency, high-performance clock oscillators and VCXOs. The technology enables Saronix to build crystal products with fundamental frequencies out to 200 MHz in a wide variety of through-hole and surface-mount packages.
