Web Browser Squeezes Into Windows CE Space

A version of the Spyglass Device Mosaic web browser technology has been developed for use on the Microsoft Windows CE operating system. The browser is poised to meet the demand for Internet access for embedded products, such as handheld systems, industrial control systems, and office equipment.The full-featured browser maintains a memory footprint of under 0.5 Mbytes. And it is fully HTML 3.2-compliant and offers support for frames, tables and JPEG and animated GIF images. It also can be extended to include support for technologies such as JScript, SSL and streaming media protocols such as RTSP. A broad range of consulting and engineering services is available to help build custom implementations.
