Male Header Offers Positive Locking

Oct. 1, 1998

Providing a lower-cost alternative to more expensive locking headers presently on the market, the CNX Series positive locking header offers 0.025"-square, tin-plated pins on 0.100" centers and mates with the firm's locking header connector part number 450 30X or its equivalent. The device is said to fill the gap between existing low-cost friction headers and more costly positive locking types. It represents a redesign of the friction header's tab to incorporate a finger release lever with a detent. The result is a polarized, positive-locking header. Units come in strips of 28 positions that are easily cut to provide any pin arrangement.
