PCI System CAN Module Works With Windows NT

Oct. 1, 1998

The CAN module VMOD-ICAN3 is based on the MC68332 chip and offers a wide range of intelligent CAN connections for PCs. Using the MODULbus mezzanine concept, users are able to insert the CAN interfaces onto different platforms. With the modular extension, there is the additional possibility of building up various independent CAN networks. The module supports Windows NT, with the software drivers integrated in the kernel, which, because of its stability, has led to wide distribution of NT as the multi-tasking operating system of choice for the industrial sector. After installation of the drivers, C-libraries are available to make a simple and fast CANbus connections.
