Sensors Target Low-Pressure Applications

Sept. 1, 1998

The 19(C,U)005G series of stainless-steel, isolated, piezo-resistive low pressure (0 to 5 psig) sensors can operate in hostile mediums such as corrosive gases and liquids where sensitive low pressure monitoring is needed. Applications include industrial automation and flow control, process control systems, pressure calibrators and industrial sprayers. Typical outputs are 60 mV when used with a 10V supply with accuracy of better than 1% full scale. With a diameter of 19 mm, the ultra-stable, high impedance 4 kiloohm bridge is well-suited for low power, battery operation. The sensors are available with a variety of different housings.
