Tools Manage Workloads For Enterprises

June 1, 1999

A complete enterprise solution including sophisticated load sharing, dynamic job scheduling, and extensive workload analysis for distributed heterogeneous Windows NT and UNIX computing environments is provided by LSF Suite 3.2 for workload management. The suite lets users centrally control and manage all distributed computing resources and enterprise workloads. Benefits are said to include shorter development and design cycles, faster time to market, improved end products and more efficient and productive use of enterprise computing.New features in LSF 3.2 include enhanced Windows NT and UNIX interoperability, creating a single system image for transparent operation of distributed heterogeneous computing resources. It also offers significantly enhanced Windows NT functionality, giving networked users the ability to dynamically allocate resources. The addition of LSF Parallel to the suite allows users to easily manage parallel job execution in a distributed computing environment.
