Commercial ASICs Are Radiation Hardened

May 1, 1999

With usable gate counts of up to 5 million, the UT0.18µCRH Commercial RadHard ASIC family is designed specifically for hi-rel space applications that require SEU immunity and guaranteed total dose hardness. The rad-hardened ASIC family is ISO 9001 and QML Class Q and V compliant and has a guaranteed radiation hardness to 300 krad(Si) total functional dose and SEU immune cells to less than 1.0E-10 errors/bit day. The devices offer toggle rates up to 1000 MHz and support operating voltages of 3.3V, 2.5V or 1.8V. Power dissipation is 0.05µW/MHz/gate at 1.8V. Also available is JTAG (IEEE 1149.1) boundary scan I/O and low noise high-pin count package technology.
