ICC Standby Spec Lowered For Low-Power Devices

July 1, 1999

Typical ICC standby has been lowered to 5 µA for 3V devices and to 10 µA for 5V devices in the firm’s PEEL18CV8Z, PEEL18LV8Z, PEEL22CV10AZ and PEEL22LV10AZ zero power programmable electrically erasable logic (PEEL) devices. The devices are JEDS8-A compliant and are now more suitable for ultra low power applications, such as battery-operated devices and systems, handheld and portable devices, instrumentation, and process control. The devices use the industry’s 20-pin footprint and are socket compatible with GAL/PAL 16V8s. Zero power PEEL devices also feature Schmitt triggers on all inputs including the clock input.
