Switches Make Emergency Stops

July 1, 1999

HW1E Series unibody emergency stop switches are designed to prevent the kind of dangerous breakdowns that can occur in multi-piece E-stops with features such as finger-safe screw terminals. With one-piece construction, the HW1E switches are easy to install with no snapping or screwing together required. With non-removable buttons, the switches cannot be disabled by an operator, and tamperproof IEC style mounting means switches cannot be removed from the exterior of a control panel. Contacts cannot be teased open or closed and the head and bezel shape prevent inadvertent disabling of switches.
