Tester Certifies Multimode Fibers

Aug. 1, 1999

Certifying multimode fiber in pairs by comparing 850/1300 nm loss, length and propagation delay measurements against industry standards and providing interpretation-free pass/fail results, FIBERcat Test & Talk tester also includes an integrated two-way set to let operators at opposite ends of the link communicate without dependency on two-way radios. Test & Talk can significantly increase the productivity of those who install or test multimode fiber, reducing test time including setup, testing, and documentation by up to 80%. Tester meets requirements of TIA 568A, ISO 11801 and provides pass/fail determination for a variety of fiber applications such as Gigabit Ethernet, Token Ring, and FDDI.
